Grow Guiding Camp Hat Craft/SWAP Idea

At the recent Multi-faceted Event, it was suggested that I share the following "SWAP" / Camp Hat Craft / Give-Away-Thingy idea.

Using the "Grow Guiding" graphic from National's site, I designed this pattern-sheet .

Materials:  (the attached) printed pattern page, scissors and/or a craft knife, glue stick, coloured seed beads (I used a multi-pack from which I pulled out pink, orange, blue, green, yellow, red and dark blue/purple), mini-craft zipper bags (I used 1.5x2"), small safety pins.

Instructions:  Using a colour printer, print onto regular white printer. (Print or copy additional pages if needed.)  Cut along the darker dotted lines.  Fold (toward the blank side) along the paler grey lines.  Add glue to the bottom and side tabs then press backside (with the words) over the tabs to attach.  Trim the corners of the top tab (if desired) and fold it down.  (No glue there.)

Into the mini-bag, drop the envelope along with one seed bead of each colour representing different branches of Guiding.  Close zipper.  Add a safety pin.

For the Multi-faceted event, I also included an "invisible" label with my name, district and city then gave them to people with whom I shared a meal, conversation, session, or just time.  (A good way to get people to remember your name!)
