String Star

Required:
  • one paper plate - stronger the better
  • scissors
  • wool or string
Steps

Take each plate and cut 12 slots spaced equally around the plate - number them 1 - 12

Tie a knot in the string or wool, place this know out of sight by putting it into the first slot with the knot on the bottom

Take the string across to number 6 - slip it in the slot and under the plate to come up at number 2,

Come up through the slot, then across the top of the plate to number 7

Continue following the pattern until a star pattern is created (1 to 6, under to 2, 2 to 7, under to 3, 3 to 8, under to 4 and so on)
